About the instructor
Ellen has always had a love of books, as well as many artistic interests such as writing, drawing, photography, and collage. She has been journaling and drawing as separate practices for over 20 years, but it wasn’t until 2020 that she discovered she could combine her many interests into one art for known as the junk journal: a book made from discarded materials to suit any artistic purpose. An environmentalist by trade, she enjoys being able to bring sustainability into her art practice by integrating otherwise useless items into new creative expressions.
