Join us in the AX Workshop Room on October 30th from 6-9pm for a cozy, hands-on painting workshop where we’ll dive into the world of acrylics and create a beautiful fall sunset landscape painting from start to finish. Local multidisciplinary artist Emily Knowles will guide you step-by-step as you explore a variety of painting techniques — from blending skies and building texture, to colour theory and glazing.
This workshop is beginner-friendly, but also a fun creative challenge for those who already love to paint. By the end, you’ll walk away with a finished canvas that you can proudly hang in your home — along with some new skills and the confidence to keep creating.
All materials are provided, so bring yourself (and maybe a friend!) and get ready for a relaxing, creative evening.
About the Artist
Emily Knowles is a self-taught painter living just outside of Sussex, New Brunswick. She began painting in childhood and has been selling her work professionally since 2020, with collectors now spanning North America, Europe, and Africa.
Emily works primarily in oils, using non-toxic colours and mediums. Inspired by the beauty of rural Maritime life, she paints from both memory and photographs, creating artworks that embody softness, calm, and a sense of peace.
