Children’s Holiday Ceramics Workshop

December 19 – December 21

AX is offering a new Ceramics Workshop for kids just in time for the holidays!

AX Ceramics Coordinator Matt Cripps will teach four separate ceramics decoration classes for children aged 6 to 12; he will be joined by teaching assistant Emily O’Donnell. The children will decorate two ornaments, a square tile, and a small dish. They will also learn how to underglaze, a ceramic decorating technique that creates vivid brushed colours. Their finished pieces will be fired in the kiln and available for pickup later.

The workshops are $20 per class and we are accepting 5 children maximum. They will be physically distanced, must wear masks, and be from New Brunswick Health Zone 2. If you or your child develop COVID-19 related symptoms leading up to the workshop, we are prepared to offer a full refund.

This workshop is supported by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund and Community Foundations of Canada.
