Choice Cuts, Monthly Open Mic Readings

Our inaugural Choice Cuts, August 3, 2017!

AX is pleased to hold monthly open mic literary readings on the first Thursday of every month, 7:00 p.m. These evenings have become quite popular, with readers and audience members coming from across the province to attend.

Looking for a supportive place to try out your original writing? Join us on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. for Choice Cuts open mic literary readings, hosted in the AX gallery.

Writers of all levels, from beginner to professional, are encouraged to bring their original poetry, fiction, or non-fiction to read, and there’s no pressure. Readings are under 5 minutes each, and open mics will be hosted by a local author who will help guide the evening. Regular Choice Cuts hosts include authors Beth PowningGerard Collins, Jane Simpson, and Sloane Ryan.

Whether you want to share a short piece of your work or listen to other original writers from our region, check out Choice Cuts at AX – there’s no charge to attend, and readings will take place in the gallery.
