About the Workshop

Join local multidisciplinary artist Elsa Valinas (Clay Corazon) for a Sugar Skull Workshop as part of the  Day of the Dead celebrations.  This three-hour, beginner-friendly workshop is ideal for people interested in learning more about this ancestral mexican tradition.

During the first part of the workshop, participants will learn to make their own sugar skull, using a pinch pot technique. After a short break,  participants will learn to decorate a pre-made sugar skull (designed and made by Elsa) using acrylic paints.

At the end of the workshop, everyone will have created 2 unique pieces, one of them ready to be displayed in your own altar to celebrate Day of the Dead.
