Join us for Deck the Halls with Creativity, a festive workshop series featuring three unique holiday workshops, perfect for crafting seasonal joy! In Ceramic Ornaments with Ed Tribe, you’ll design hand-painted ceramic pieces to add a personal touch to your decor, while Holiday Card Stamping with Ed Tribe lets you create a set of beautiful, custom cards to share with loved ones. And in Chocolate-Dipped Holiday Treats with Emily Rioux, you’ll learn how to dip and decorate seasonal sweets to impress family and friends. Each workshop offers a chance to craft something special this season—come deck the halls with us!

Ceramics Ornaments with Ed Tribe

Join us in the AX Workshop Room on December 4th from 6–9pm for the first of our Deck the Halls with Creativity Workshop Series—a ceramic ornament making class with AX artist, Ed Tribe!
Get into the holiday spirit with our Ceramic Holiday Ornament Decorating Workshop; unleash your creativity and craft beautiful, personalized ornaments to hang on your tree or to give as heartfelt gifts. During this workshop, Ed will guide you through basic ceramic practices and decoration techniques to bring your ornaments to life. Your creations will be glazed and kiln fired in the AX Ceramics Centre before you will pick them up, just in time for the Holidays!

Holiday Card Stamping with Ed Tribe

Get into the holiday spirit with our Linocut Stamped Holiday Card Workshop! In this hands-on session, you’ll use a variety of pre-carved linocut stamps to create your own beautiful, hand-stamped holiday cards. Perfect for all skill levels, this workshop will show you how to layer designs, mix colors, and add personal touches to make a unique set of holiday cards to share with friends and family. Join us for a creative afternoon and leave with cards as special as the season!

Join self-proclaimed dip master, Emily Rioux as she guides you through the art of dipping, decorating, and perfecting your favorite holiday treats. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn techniques to make your chocolate creations look as amazing as they taste, just in time for seasonal gifting and celebrations. Whether you’re a chocolate lover or simply love to create, this workshop will leave you with beautifully crafted treats to enjoy or share. Don’t miss this chance to add a little extra sweetness to your holidays!
About the Instructors

Ed Tribe
Ed Tribe is a versatile artist whose creative expression spans collage, lino-cutting, ceramics, digital art and beyond. Born and raised in the Sussex area, Ed’s diverse background influences his unique approach to artwork – often reflecting his passion for activism in much of his work. As Boutique Assistant, Ed is dedicated to fostering a welcoming atmosphere for visitors by ensuring that each item is displayed with care and that the space remains inviting and vibrant. Known for his warm customer service, Ed hopes to enhance the overall experience of patrons at AX Boutique by offering an engaging and pressure-free shopping experience.
Emily Rioux
Emily Rioux is a marketing specialist and certified spin coach originally from Rothesay, New Brunswick. With a background in jewelry design from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD), she has channeled her creativity across multiple mediums. Now leading marketing for AX, the Arts and Culture Centre of Sussex, Emily previously founded Dipped Dessertery, a popular chocolate-dipped dessert business at Fredericton’s Boyce Farmers Market. Now based in downtown Sussex, she spends her free time cycling (on stationary bikes!) and exploring New Brunswick’s natural beauty with her dog, Walker.
