Exhibition Proposals

Call for exhibition proposals

Deadline: December 12, 2021

AX, the Arts and Culture Centre of Sussex, invites emerging, mid-career, and senior professional artists working with all media to submit a proposal for consideration for an exhibition during the 2023-24 exhibition seasons. Artists of all media and curators with an exhibition proposal are invited to apply.

AX hosts approximately 6 – 8 exhibitions a year and we are committed to developing, supporting and promoting exhibition opportunities and experiences for New Brunswick artists. In choosing exhibitions, we seek a balance of established and emerging artists, exhibiting works from our community and beyond. AX is also dedicated to exhibiting children’s art and student work created in local-area schools and through our own programming. An independent jury of professional artists and art educators meets annually to review proposals.

AX strives to pay fair compensation to artists based on national standards, and we include CARFAC fees in our exhibition grant applications.

Deadline: Please submit your proposal by December 12, 2021. Contact: info@axartscentre.ca.

If you’re an artist or a curator and you’re interested in exhibiting at AX, download our general Exhibition Proposal and Artist Agreement and send us your idea! Exhibitions are selected by a rotating panel of respected artists and art educators knowledgeable in the discipline involved, and the panel meets every six months to review current proposals.
