Join us for our youth theatre workshop “Playing with Theatre!”Led by Teacher and National Theatre School of Canada trained theatre actor Katie Swift the workshop is for children aged 8 to 12, and will run July 28th-August 1st, from 10am-1pm. Participants are asked to bring 2 snacks, water, sunscreen and a hat.
About the Instructor
Teacher and National Theatre School of Canada trained theatre actor Katie Swift will be leading this exciting youth workshop “Playing with Theatre.” Katie will draw from her 20-year career as a professional theatre actor, director and creator as well as her 15 years of experience as a adjudicator and instructor at the NB Drama Fest to create a fun and informative learning environment for students.
Daily Schedule
10-10:45am – Warm up and theatre games
10:45am – 15 min break
11-11:45am – Theatre art (guided exploration of designing a character, costume, or a “world” using visual art) *all materials provided
12-1pm – Activities based on student interest; improv, storytelling, ensemble movement, choral singing
