About the Curator
Kayla Collins is an artist based in Sussex, NB. Her work draws inspiration from the natural landscapes found within and surrounding her small hometown. She aims to capture the beauty of fleeting moments within an ever-changing environment, focusing on scenes that she encounters and appreciates in her everyday life. Through the use of watercolour, she creates soft and colourful representations of the natural beauty that surrounds her.
With an educational background in Art History and Fine Arts from Mount Allison University, as well as Graphic Design from NBCC, Kayla has combined her personal interest and knowledge of the arts with her work at the AX Boutique. There, she curates and showcases the incredible talent that her small town and fellow New Brunswick artists have to share.
