About Corn Hill Nursery

With over 65 acres of cultivation and nearly 1000 varieties of plant material available, we are the largest Canadian plant production nursery east of Montreal. Owned by Bob Osborne and his wife Kathleen, our nursery is experienced in the grafting and propagation of many plants, including many native species. We are one of ten sites across Canada that test and evaluate new rose introductions as to their form, fragrance, disease resistance, and hardiness. Bob is a published author, columnist on CBC radio, and has been a Red Seal apprenticeship landscape instructor. He is also a member of several horticultural and agricultural associations, and has received numerous awards including the Canadian Society for Horticultural Science Special Recognition Award.

Corn Hill has graciously donated their space for our event again this year.
Their unwavering support of the arts and AX has been truly incredible, and we’re excited to collaborate with them again on future events!

About the performers

The Olympic Symphonium

The Olympic Symphonium have been trudging through the murkier depths of the Canadian music stream since 2005. Consisting of five distinct and diverse songwriters, the band has crafted a full, lush sound that is entirely their own. A sound that features emotional musical flourishes, soaring harmonies that float in and out, and dramatic lyrical content. It is the sound of a strange and beautiful tension.

Whether it’s the complexity of family, the inevitability of death, the mundanity of life on the road, or struggles with mental illness, each band member writes with their own life experiences in mind and combines those with that of the other members in a Voltron like fashion to form one strong and varied body of work. Four become one to create a singular vision and sound. It’s the sound of a band not afraid to go deep into the darkness, go against the current and swim upstream.

James Mullinger

James Mullinger was one of the UK’s hardest working comedians and the Comedy Editor for GQ magazine when he moved to New Brunswick, Canada in 2014. Since his arrival, he has taken the country by storm. He has sold out shows across the country, made appearances on CBC’s The Debaters, movies, television shows, festivals, award shows and stand up specials… he’s done it all. In May 2022, James Mullinger’s autobiography Brit Happens – Living The Canadian Dream was released to rave reviews and quickly topped the Amazon Comedy Book Charts! He was recently named one of the Most Inspiring Immigrants in Atlantic Canada and earlier this year released New Brunswick’s first ever national sitcom about, you guessed it, a British comedian who accidentally moves to New Brunswick!

Mudgie and the Sociables

Mudgie & The Sociables is a dynamic trio bringing a fresh yet nostalgic sound to the East Coast music scene. Led by Scott Mudge on vocals and guitar, alongside the exceptional talents of Garrett Overcash on fiddle and Ryan Brennan on banjo, this group blends the rich traditions of country, folk, and rock with a style that feels both timeless and inviting.

What began as Scott’s weekly open mic nights at Sussex Ale Works quickly evolved into something bigger. Fueled by their undeniable chemistry and shared love of music, the trio officially formed in Spring 2024, setting out to deliver heartfelt performances featuring beloved classics and original songs that feel as warm and familiar as a Schooner beer in a cozy East Coast kitchen.

Since their formation, Mudgie & The Sociables have become a household name in Sussex, captivating audiences across New Brunswick with their high-energy shows and soul-stirring melodies. Whether it’s a packed venue or an intimate gathering, their music brings people together, one song at a time.
